At the base of Mt Buffalo and with the Ovens River at the rear of the park, Big4 Porepunkah Holiday Park is really sitting pretty. If you like exercise as well as sitting, the Wangaratta to Bright Rail Trail is ideal for cycling and walking and is located directly outside the park.
Mt Buffalo National Park is great for wildlife watching, walks, canoeing and the nearby snow fields are sensational for skiing and boarding or just some snow play. Famous for its Autumn Festival with amazing deciduous tree displays, the whole area is rich with wineries, restaurants and amazing Aussie nature.
