Ballarat local Phillip Leitch, who is current world champion, is set to compete against highly skilled jousters from as far away as the Netherlands, Norway and Russia, as well as two incredible fellow knights from Queensland and Victoria.
The event will be a full medieval immersive experience complete with historical medieval village, full flight birds of prey, viking battles, a knightly foot tournament, archery, trebuchet and even a Shakespearean tavern.
All event attractions are included in your ticket price, making this the most adventure-packed family day out in Victoria.

|The Space Between is a creative exploration from East Gippsland artists Jill Hermans and Jes John. This collaboration seeks to find where their separate practises intersect - contemporary jewellery-making and wordsmithery. Here, Jill and Jes manipulate mostly found materials and metals into beautiful pieces of wearable art.
Special opening event 5.30pm Friday 12 July. All welcome and free.
|Great East Rail Trail Ride|

|The Great East Rail Trail Ride is a fully supported three day cycle event along the 100 kilometre East Gippsland Rail Trail. This is a little Great Ride, with numbers limited to 130 people to ensure a splendid time is had by all.
With a daily riding distance between 30 and 40 kilometres (with extra sweat options provided for those who would like to ride further) this great ride is fabulous for families, new cyclists, old cyclists and those for whom cycling simply fills the intervals between eating and drinking.
Rail trails are for cyclists, walkers and horse riders only, so there will be no vehicular traffic along the route. Perfect for children and autophobes.
All meals and campsite accommodation is provided, with the option to upgrade to a cottage or pub and if you do not have a suitable bike you can hire a bike for the tour. Refer to website for further information.
|Gippsland Garden and Home Expo-Drouin Lions Club|

|Drouin Lions Club, Gippsland Garden and Home Expo at Lardner Park will feature over 150 beautiful displays and sales, 40 specialist and general nurseries, exhibitors, and demonstrations throughout the day.
This year's Gardening Guru, with talks on Saturday and Sunday is Tino Carnevale. Born and bred in Tasmania, Tino's lifelong interest in plants and gardening stems from growing up on his family's small farm in Southern Tasmania. As well as being a presenter on ABC Gardening Australia, Tino writes in Tasmanian newspaper The Mercury and Gardening Australia Magazine. He does weekly radio on ABC 936 and is active in community programs and events and gives regular talks to gardening groups around Australia. Tino is probably happiest in his own garden.
The Garden and Home Expo is held in three huge pavilions and surrounds. There is also children's activities, extensive catering, entertainment, convenient parking and EFTPOS available once you are through the gate.
Fantastic displays, including landscaping, gardening tools and machinery, shade and hot houses, statues and garden features, interior and exterior furniture, home finance and home building tradespeople with products, will all feature plus lots more.
All proceeds raised by Drouin Lions go back to the community.
|Heyfield Food & Wine Festival|

|Awarded the 2017 Wellington Shire's Community Event of the Year, the Heyfield Food and Wine Festival is back on 20 October.
Set amongst the park-like grounds of the Wetlands, the day will feature the best of local vineyards, breweries and food producers. Live music and activities to keep the kids entertained make for a fun day out for the whole family.
Entry is $10 for adults (includes a tasting glass or stubby holder), kids entry is free.

|Summit Survivor is the most obstacle-dense mud-run course in Victoria. There are an epic 39 obstacles across five kilometres. This will be the most fun, challenging, crazy day of your life. Walk, run or sprint your way through this epic course. Take on the giant slide, tunnels, mud, nets, beams, walls, zaps and so much more.
Summit Survivor is for adventurous 10 to 60 year olds. 87 percent of participants said they found it the 'ideal difficulty'. Beginners through to hard-core racers will get an awesome buzz and be pushed by the physical and mental challenges.
There is the five kilometre adult course and kids course for four to twelve year olds, with 23 obstacles across 1.3 kilometres. This is like Tough Mudder, but more fun. Build your team, dress up and really have fun with it - there are prizes for the best dressed. Summit Survivor is located only 90 minutes from Melbourne in Trafalgar East.
