The art of Peter Gardiner presents a troubling but compelling vision of our world as it might one day look. Devoid of human life, but still bearing the scars of human habitation, Gardiner’s images are in equal parts dystopian and dreamlike - and stark reminders of the finite resources of our planet.

These epics paintings draw on the flux of human history to propose acts of environmental vengeance on a Biblical scale. Event Horizon is the point from which there is no return, with
humanity pitched at crisis point.

Rosalind with multi-media artist Vic McEwan and facilitator Andrew Morrish will bring their work from Mt Delusion into relationship to the East Gippsland Art Gallery. They will share dance and video materials developed in response to the logging of Mt Delusion - a microcosm of 150 years of colonial practices.
