Magnificent Mitta Mountain Ride

Enjoy a spectacular road riding experience in the Mitta Valley with quiet roads, amazing views and fantastic company.

Make your way or jump on the provided bus to Anglers Rest on the Friday and stay the night in the high country near the Blue Duck Inn.

The Magnificent Mitta Mountain Ride will then start near the Blue Duck Inn the following morning where you will ride to the Mitta Valley along the picturesque Omeo Highway.

This undulating ride is approximately 80 kilometres. All riding abilities are catered for with rest stop along the way.

To reward you for your awesome riding efforts,there will be a barbecue lunch after the ride from 2:00pm at Paddy's Reserve in Mitta. The Mitta Pub are looking to put on a band on the Saturday night so be sure to book your accommodation for that night as well to make the most of your time in the Mitta Valley.

Summer Screenprinting Workshop for Kids

This Four Wheel Drive Adventure Tour will begin in the town of Licola and finish with one of the most iconic 4WD tracks in the country - the mighty Blue Rag Range Track.


This tour offers a wide variety of four-wheel-driving. From steep, rocky ascents and descents, river crossings, cattlemen huts and 360 panoramic mountain views that will take your breath away. The first night you will be camped at elevation at one of the oldest and most historic huts in the Victorian High Country.

The second night we will be camped on the grassy flats of the Crooked River which has no shortage of trout so be sure to throw in the fishing rod. Your journey will take you through the beaut little town of Dargo with a must stop at the pub for the customary cold one. The objective is simple – they want to inspire as many people as possible across all generations to enjoy classical music. The popularity of their ensemble is reflected in the fact that the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne gives around 300 concerts a year around the globe and listeners throughout the world look forward to a musical encounter with our exceptionally talented musicians.
Mirboo North Italian Festa

The Mirboo North Italian Festa is a free family day celebrating all things Italian. Set in Baromi Park, the day will feature over 40 fabulous food stalls of Italian favourites with a full afternoon of on stage entertainment including music, singing, dancing, comedy, as well as spaghetti eating and grape stomping competitions.

The highlight will be performances by the Sbandietori di Faenza - 14 Flag throwers all the way from Italy who will perform the medieval art of tossing and catching flags, dressed in costumes accompanied by trumpets and drums. This first time in Victoria spectacular demonstration can only be seen in the towns of villages of Italy.


Food is the hero with cooking demonstrations by real Italian Nonnas and a guest chef with Nonna's Secret Recipe cookbook available for sale.

Add free kids activities, market stalls, and outdoor drinks areas selling Italian beers, wines and the ever popular Aperol Spritz.

For those interested the day starts at 10:00 with an outdoor Mass celebrating St. Paul - Patron Saint of the many Italians who migrated to Mirboo North in the 1950s, a tradition still alive in Italy and carried on in Australia today.

The festival opens on a Friday night at the great local music showdown, The Friday Night Jam, with music and fun continuing on until The Big Blues Bash on the Saturday Night, coming to a grand close at the the Sunday Recovery.



Bruthen is an idyllic country town, with all events and camping within walking distance from each other.

The weekend long festival is centered around our big free music event in the Main Street Gardens, where the entire town opens up to a huge market, workshops, local food and of course that great blues sound.

Thorpdale Potato Festival

The Thorpdale Potato Festival returns in its 29th year. Thorpdale spuds are known Australia-wide, not only because of the huge variety of potatoes grown, but because of the soil itself - rich red volcanic loam which is extremely hard to replicate elsewhere.

Spuds rule the roost at the Festival of course. There is the Vin Rowe Spud Challenge, which brings competitors back year after year to shoulder the 50 kilogram bag of spuds and run the course - although the rules have changed next year to make things interesting. Then you have the Potato Stack - throwing sacks of spuds onto pallets - growing higher and higher. The Potato Picking for young and old, guys and gals is hotly competitive too.

For the nippers, we have the Potato Putt as well as Potato Sack Races and there are free giant castles and slides and a petting zoo as well as Spuddy, the Festival mascot, who will be walking around during the day giving out little packs of chips.
Opera by the Lakes

Farm World

Grantville Pirate Festival

Enjoy a great day out at the award winning Maru Koala and Animal Park at the annual Grantville Pirate Festival.



Pirate games and roving entertainers, jumping castles, face painting, dress-up competitions, play mini-golf and enjoy the animal park all for the one low entry fee.

Meet Pirate Pete along with other roving pirate entertainers and get your face painted or take a ride on the giant slide. See the live stage show and join in the pirate games .

Tarra Festival

Now in its 47th year, the Tarra Festival has grown in popularity and size each year. For 2019, the theme of the festival will be: Peace and Love.

The must-see activity is the Street Parade on Easter Saturday which includes floats from the local schools and community groups, horses, penny farthings, vintage cars, trucks and more. There are street entertainers, sausage sizzles, cake stalls and heaps of fun for everyone.

Prior to and after the street parade is the Yarram Market, now just off the main street, and afterwards is the Lions Family Fun Day. Activities run across the whole weekend with markets and a "Together we are One" Fair and fireworks in Port Albert on Sunday, the Monster Markets in Yarram on Monday, as well as a massive range of sport and recreation activities, the renowned Rotary Art Show, exhibitions and displays from most community groups, outdoor movies, social dance, authors talks and anything else we can think of turning on and showing off.

Summit Survivor

Summit Survivor is the most obstacle-dense mud-run course in Victoria. There are an epic 39 obstacles across five kilometres. This will be the most fun, challenging, crazy day of your life. Walk, run or sprint your way through this epic course. Take on the giant slide, tunnels, mud, nets, beams, walls, zaps and so much more.

Summit Survivor is for adventurous 10 to 60 year olds. 87 percent of participants said they found it the 'ideal difficulty'. Beginners through to hard-core racers will get an awesome buzz and be pushed by the physical and mental challenges.

There is the five kilometre adult course and kids course for four to twelve year olds, with 23 obstacles across 1.3 kilometres. This is like Tough Mudder, but more fun. Build your team, dress up and really have fun with it - there are prizes for the best dressed. Summit Survivor is located only 90 minutes from Melbourne in Trafalgar East.
