Graham Edyvane, who owns and runs the farm, makes sure his livestock feel comfortable around him and ensures they are at ease in natural surroundings for as much of the time as possible.

Animals are encouraged to be predominantly grass fed with minimum supplementary feeding taking place in winter months. Farmed venison is less 'gamey', leaner and more moist than its wild counterpart.

It provides high levels of protein compared with beef, lamb,pork and chicken, and lower levels of fat and cholesterol. Gracefield sell venison at the Farmers' Markets in Kingston, Caulfield, Knox and Berwick or you can buy direct from the farm gate. Gracefield have selected cuts of meat available including four varieties of sausages and gourmet pies.
