Beach Arts Music - BAM Markets

Beach Arts Music is a free community event held on the first Saturday of every month except January and February from 2pm to 7pm at Millennium Esplanade, Tannum Sands. Featuring food stalls, live entertainment, arts and creation stalls and lots more making this event an awesome family friendly outing.

Don't forget to bring your own chairs and eskies!

Calliope Historical Village Markets

The Calliope Historical Village Markets are held on a regular basis along the banks of the Calliope River only 26 kilometres from Gladstone and 100 kilometres south of Rockhampton! These are lovely relaxed markets for the whole family.

Grab a drink or a bite to eat and sit with your family under the shady trees. Bring the kids along for a ride on the famous miniature train or just come along to view the abundance of homewares, fresh produce, plants and bric-a-brac for sale.

While there don't forget to visit the village's historic buildings and spend some time looking at the interesting displays including the Calliope River Railway Display.

The Markets run from 8am to 12pm and the Clyde Hotel is licensed on Market days. The variety of food and drink stalls cater for the needs of hungry and thirsty visitors.
Rotary Markets Gladstone

The Rotary Markets are held on the third Sunday of every month. Come and enjoy the family friendly free markets held at the Tondon Botanic Gardens from 7am to 12pm.

The markets feature fresh fruit and veggies, coffee, cakes, handmade children's toys, food stalls and barbecues, ice cream, plants, handmade soaps, books, children's clothing, jewellery and other bric-a-brac. All stall holders must have Public Liability Insurance. There is no restriction on stall types or goods sold.
Boyne Valley Country Music Campout

The Boyne Valley Country Music Campout is back for its eighth year inviting all country music lovers to enjoy a fun and family friendly weekend listening to and performing together. While it may be a country music campout, you can expect some rock, bluegrass, folk and blues thrown in for good measure also.

While the campout officially commences on Friday 12 April, the fun actually starts on Thursday for the early birds and will end with a poet's Breakfast on Sunday morning.

This fun family weekend of music making is always enjoyed by all who attend and the 2019 event is gearing up to be just as enjoyable as the rest!
Gladstone Harbour Festival

The 57th Annual Gladstone Harbour Festival will be held at the picturesque GPC Marina Parklands. 2019's program will be jam-packed with fabulous free main stage entertainment, novelty events, free kids activities, fireworks, marina markets, rides for the kids and much more! Boyne Tannum HookUp

The Boyne Tannum HookUp is Australia’s Biggest Family Fishing Competition, with both adult and junior categories. This three-day event is held in a beautiful location of the Central Queensland Coast at Boyne Island.

The Boyne Tannum HookUp is held annually with the aim of bringing together friends, family, businesses, supporters and sponsors from all parts of Australia to enjoy a great community event.
1770 Art Show

The annual 1770 Art Show is held each May in Agnes Water, Central Coast Queensland. The show covers the categories of Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Textile, Secondary and Primary School.

With a prize pool of more the AUD7000 it is one of the premier regional Art Shows.

Each year the Art Show works closely with Queensland Art and the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and the show is proud to have a curator from QA/GOMA as the guest judge.

Opening Night/Award Night will be held on Wednesday May 22. Gallery open to the public from Thursday 23 to Sunday May 26.

1770 Festival

Each year in May, on the weekend closest to 23 May when HMB Endeavour anchored in Bustard Bay on the Queensland coast, they celebrate with a family friendly Festival.

In 2019 the 27th annual 1770 Festival theme is Experiences in Paradise. They think their towns of Agnes Water and 1770 are paradise and hope whether you are a local or an out of town visitor, you enjoy three days of great experiences.

Friday 24 May starts at 5pm with a re-enactment of Lt Cook and his crew coming ashore for only the second time on the east coast of Australia, then gates open on Saturday 25 at 9am with the fab and fun Festival Street Parade starting from 1770 Marina 9.30am, finishing at the Festival Grounds.

Live and local music, food street, many varied market stalls, with interactive demonstrations and workshops for kids and adults alike.

A fun family adventure around the festival site, they are beginning preparations for Festival in 2020 with the creation of a Harmony Wall where all visitors are encouraged to contribute.

On Sunday there is the 1770 Fun Run, suitable all abilities, prams have free entry.

Relay For Life is a fun and moving overnight experience that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services.

Relay is a chance for the Gladstone community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, patients and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost to cancer and to raise money to help save more lives.

Teams will participate in a relay-style walk or run, challenging themselves to stay on the track overnight. Each event is unique and you can stay for the whole event and camp overnight, enjoy the fun activities and attend the moving ceremonies that make Relay For Life so special.

Under The Trees 2019

Under the trees is a laid back music and art festival located 'under the trees' between the soccer fields and oval at Jacaranda Drive, Boyne Island. It is organised by the community, for the community, entirely run and built by volunteers.

It began with the inaugural festival in 2017 and after being enthusiastically embraced by all, Under The Trees returned in 2018 going from strength to strength and the 2019 event is set to get even bigger and better.

Picture two stages, street theatre performances, two bars and multiple food stalls providing for an outdoor festival experience for all ages! Be entertained by emerging artists as well as visiting Australian bands performing a mix of genres ranging from blues, funk, rock and reggae. Under The Trees is a festival not to be missed!
