This enchanting cottage is nestled amongst native trees and natural surrounds with a little brook cascading over river rocks on its way around the verandah and deck area.
Although the style of architecture has been likened to the 'ginger-bread' house of fairytale fame, with its high-pitched roof and the radially sawn timber cladding that make it appear to be melting, it has a distinct nautical theme reflected throughout.
Once inside, the ambience is that of an old square-rigger ship. All standard facilities has been thoughtfully included for your ultimate indulgence. From the heated floor and towel rail in the bathroom, stainless steel European kitchen appliances and split system air-conditioning, to the romantic fire that comes alive with the flick of a switch! Every detail has been considered.
A blend of aged natural timbers are harmoniously married to more modern materials which come together creatively yet comfortably functional.
Before even taking a step inside this establishment, you know you are somewhere special. With over two years from design to completion, the passion with which it was built shows through wherever you look. Environmentally friendly materials and practices were used wherever possible throughout the construction process, and through much salvaging and recycling, almost every fixture and fitting in the cottage holds a story, which contribute to its unique character.
The cottage is ideally located within walking distance to everything the wonderful hamlet of Aireys Inlet has to offer, like our five beaches, bush walks, horse riding, canoeing, mountain biking, fishing, surfing, bird watching, hang - or para-gliding, you name it, the list goes on.
Once you've stayed here, you will fall under its spell and you will not want to leave!
