Dances with Colour - SALA 2018 Exhibition with Launch

The Old Barn in Sedan - a rustic picturesque place along the Graetz Creek, once home of German settlers and Clydesdale horses, approx. 90 mins scenic drive from Adelaide - is this year for the first time host of the South Australian Living Artists festival, SA's 2nd largest Arts Festival.

Dances with Colour- at The Old Barn is an exhibition of a diverse range of approaches to reflect our environment, our heritage and our sensitivity to the visual world.

The adventures with imagery and media and dances with colour show works by artists local artists include the owner of the venue Peter Jesser and two international awarded Adelaide artists.

South Australian Living Arts (SALA) Mannum

This year SALA Festival is being held at the Arnold Gallery within the Mannum Dock Museum and Visitor Information Centre. The Festival
will open from Saturday 4th August, 2018 continuing until Sunday 2nd September 2018.


Opening hours will be the same as the Information Centre.
This year the Mannum Creative Communties group will present 20 novice and Artists alreadyrecognised for their works in Australia
and overseas.

This gives our local artists the opportunity to showcase their art in the Mid Murray Area.

The 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship will be making its way to The Bend Motorsport Park on the 24-26 August, 2018.

It will be a Supersprint event taking place on The Bend Motorsport Park's 4.95km International Circuit.

The 60 Four’s incredible talent, with their slick moves and flawless four-part harmonies, has seen them go from strength to strength in the Adelaide entertainment industry.
The critically acclaimed quartet have performed over 100 times, in public, private and corporate settings at venues including the Adelaide Oval, St Peter’s Cathedral, The Entertainment Centre, Ayers House, and the Royal Adelaide
Show.
They have also performed as a part of two Adelaide Fringe Festivals, performing to over 2000 people in 10 sold out performances over two years.
This show will make it impossible for the crowd to stay seated as the boys perform a selection of their favourite 60s hits, paying homage to artists including: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, The Beatles,

Palmer Hot Rod Show

Come and show off your Hot Rod. Live music, dancing, hot rods.

The Main Street of Palmer is the place to be on Sunday, September 30th. If you love great cars and great music! Palmer is a small town with a population of approximately 80 people, located 16 kilometres west of Mannum on the Adelaide to Mannum Road.

The day features everything from Hot Rods to the classics, muscle cars and street machines which will fill the main street of Palmer. It all starts at 11am with a live band. Bar and food facilities, wheelbarrow and gate raffles and dance floor. Free entry.

Palmers main street will be closed to through traffic from 10am to 5pm to allow angle parking for the special interest vehicles and for the safety of the public.

There will be plenty to do and see at the Palmer Hot Rod Show including Music, Dancing, Food and plenty of Hot Rods to see. You can enter your Hot Rod into the Show.

Murray Bridge Jazz Festival

The Annual Festival of Traditional Jazz and Dixieland music is held in Murray Bridge on the third weekend in October.
This Festival is the Premier Jazz Festival in South Australia and 2018 will feature top bands from interstate as well as local talent, we are working together with the Southern Jazz Club to encourage aspiring young musicians to participate.
This 'not for profit' Festival is supported by the Rural City of Murray Bridge and the Southern Jazz Club.

Bands will perform on Friday at the Murray Bridge Golf Club and on Saturday in the Murray Bridge Town Hall and the Murray Bridge Hotel. Sunday morning on the Murray Bridge Hotel Balcony.

Meals are available in the hotel and other venues close by.

The Paddle Wheeler Captain Proud provides a river cruise with a band on board, also a Sunday Morning breakfast Cruise in 2018.
Entry to all venues is by 'badge' .

The Mannum Agricultural Show is the best "little" country show, held on the first Saturday in March each year.

In 2019 this family fun event will be celebrating its 96th year.

We strive to provide a wide range of entertainment to suit all ages, with all the traditional Agricultural Show sections including: Rural Ambassador, Show Persons, sheep shearing, sheaf tossing, cattle, goats, poultry, horses, food and music.

There will be stalls, cookery, scones, fruit cake, crafts, needlework, knitting and crocheting, flowers, art, photos, pets, produce, fruit and vegetables, ute muster, Green and Gold trail and carp throwing.
