Welcome to Country Haven Cottage! It’s a delightfully comfortable three bedroom cottage next to a mountain river in the Monkerai Valley, in the south eastern Barrington Tops. Need a break or somewhere to catch up with friends? Enjoy a country paradise set in a 1000 acre cattle stud with mountain river and plenty of privacy. The wide verandah is the spot to enjoy breakfast and the morning sun. With a background of magnificent mountains and cattle grazing contentedly closer to the cottage, the sound of birds is just the antidote for relaxed country living. Enjoy river swimming, strolls along country roads, time to read a good book and space to play a game of bush cricket, kick a ball around or throw a Frisbee. You might also try catch and release river fishing, after all, the river’s only a stone's throw from the cottage! Country Haven Cottage provides year-round comfort with air conditioning, ceiling fans and wood fireplace. Self-contained holidays suit all ages; no need to worry about restaurant hours and what the meals might be like! The fully equipped kitchen is complemented by an outdoor gas barbecue. All linen and towels provided. If time permits, discover beautiful Barrington Tops; bushwalks with magnificent views, kayaking or even skydiving. Between the three local towns, there are a number of events year-round that guests may like to attend. Guests can also stock up on produce, taste wines at local cellar doors, play golf and enjoy a relaxing cappuccino or cold ale in town. |
