Araluen Holiday Camp offers catered and self catered camps at Rocky Cape in Tasmania’s north-west.
Araluen is a holiday campsite from the Baptist Union.
Situated in a bush setting on 17 acres next to the Rocky Cape National Park, between Wynyard and Smithton, and close to historic Stanley, with its famous Nut and beautiful waterfalls, Dip Falls and Detention Falls.
The self-contained units are available for camps or as tourist accommodation.
The campsite area, located close to beaches, rivers, and rugged coastline in Rocky Cape National Park, has eight bunkhouses, all with electric heating, which can also be used as backpacker accommodation.
The bunkhouses have shared amenities and a dining room which can seat up to 65 persons. There is a wood fire in the dining room and large fully equipped kitchen with refrigerators, freezer, microwave, and electric stoves.
There are facilities for bush cooking, bonfires (weather permitting), and barbecues outside. Indoor dining and take away food available in walking distance or a short 2 kilometre drive away.
Onsite sports facilities are a large oval with a cricket pitch, an outside volleyball field, and an indoor recreation hall with table tennis. Araluen is an alcohol and smoke free environment.
