The 13th Falcon GT Nationals are returning to Adelaide, South Australia in April 2009. The Falcon GT Club of South Australia Incorporated are the proud hosts of the 2009 event and are encouraging entrants and visitors alike from around Australia to participate in this bi-annual gathering of Australia’s most legendary and famous motor vehicle - the Falcon GT! Over the weekend of 10 to 13 April 2009, Adelaide will be alive with the sights and sounds of over 250 Falcon GT’s. With the current market value of these classic collectable vehicles that’s in excess of 15 million dollars worth of Fords finest Aussie built muscle cars. The event includes a Show’n’Shine, Concourse, Motorsports, Cruises, Picnic, Formal Dinner and Farewell Picnic. A major part of the event will be the Show’n’Shine and Concourse. This is the stage for the largest gathering of Falcon GT’s displayed at the same time and place anywhere in Australia. Not only is this a great opportunity for owners to display and compare their pride and joy with fellow enthusiasts it also allows for them to compete in the Concourse section. Falcon GT’s are broken down into several categories and then judged in their model classes to determine the finest examples presented on the day. Another highlight of the weekend will be the Motorsport activity day. The sights and sounds of Falcon GT’s in anger will be on show with a race circuit open for the day allowing sprints and hot laps to re-live the glory days of these heart pounding muscle cars. Before the weekend comes to a close the Adelaide Convention Centre will host a formal dinner for all entrants, sponsors and volunteers to celebrate the weekend’s activities. Along with food and drink will be live entertainment and the awards presentation for the Falcon GT Concourse. |
