Serpentine Café on the Dam and Art Gallery Feast in the ‘Forest’ with stunning ‘Dam’ views to compliment your dining and art exhibition experience. The Serpentine Café on the Dam is a superb restaurant/café located 50 minutes from the Perth CBD. Situated on the Darling Scarp, overlooking the Serpentine Dam, the café offers a unique menu, which is reflective of the surrounding natural bushland. Using only fresh ingredients with some sourced from native foods, the menu features a wide range of tantalising food from the Wattle seed infused beef fillet to the roasted lamb rack marinated in fresh native mint and Kakadu plum glaze. For those looking for a morning or afternoon tea with a difference, the chef offers lavender scones or the renowned bacon and cheese damper. The café is also home to a fine wood gallery and on going photographic exhibition. All wood products are sourced from local craftpersons and range from small takeaway gifts to exquisite items of household furniture. The current photographic display is by Western Australian photographer Ian Watt and all the photographs are in the theme of Western Australian natural wonders. A fun day for the family- we have a fabulous bush quiz for kids and a parents room for those with even younger children. |
