Where the Monaro plains meet the Snowy Mountains, Yarramba is an establishment renowned for its horsemanship.
We specialise in personal trail rides for beginners and experienced riders on well trained horses to experience bush riding in one of Australia’s finest landscapes. Located by the Murrumbidgee River between Cooma and Adaminaby, Yarramba is easily accessible for visitors to the Mountains and Kosciuszko areas all year round.
We take families, children, couples or individuals out with us on their own instead of being part of a big group, so we can give them our full attention and tailor the route, duration and level of difficulty. Also, we start everybody off with some tuition in our arena so that they feel they have developed some riding skills which can then be tried out on the trail.
Mark Layton has had thirty years training horses, teaching riders, shoeing and has been involved in many television productions. Mark's many years of careful study and experience give the novice rider confidence and the more experienced rider a deeper level of insight.
Rosemary Beeton has a long and varied career teaching riding all over the world in Arabia, England, Greece, the USA and the Channel Islands. She has managed large stables of valuable competition horses and has great expertise in feeding, building jumping and cross country course and training riding instructors. From all this experience, Rosemary has developed a system to teach you a balanced and secure seat with an understanding of the horse’s movements.
A visit to Yarramba will leave you amazed at your advancement and understanding of horse riding.
