DownsSteam (a not for profit company) was formed to develop the economic base of the Darling Downs and to preserve some of its railway history. DownsSteam tourist railway and museum is an organisation dedicated to providing a total rail experience to visitors of the Darling Downs. Ultimately patrons will be hauled by a steam engine to the wineries of the Granite Belt, enjoying the best of Darling Downs heritage and produce.
