The Flying Teapot Garden Cafe and Gallery is located at Bridport, north-east Tasmania. The Flying Teapot is part of Manalanga Farm, a 162-hectare (400 acre) Angus cattle farm. The Manalanga homestead, built in the 1870s and is surrounded by delightful gardens. You can enjoy light meals, coffee and cakes in the cafĂ©, which has views of the farm and gardens. Browse the range of north-east Tasmanian produce and crafts. In the gallery, you can see work by resident artist John Gibbs, whose watercolour paintings feature the ‘rain-washed and wind-swept’ Tasmanian landscape. John regularly conducts painting workshops at the gallery, and pottery and drawing courses are also offered. The Flying Teapot is part of the North East Garden Lovers Trail, a showcase of 12 Tasmanian gardens located between Bridport and Winnaleah. Manalanga Farm is owned by Roger and Wendy McLennan. Roger is an avid ultra-light aircraft pilot and Manalanga Farm has an 850-metre grass, light aircraft runway. You can choose to drive or fly when you visit the Flying Teapot. Bridport is a coastal town overlooking Anderson Bay, one hours’ drive from Launceston (85 kilometres/53 miles).
