Come Dive offers tours in some of the best cool temperate waters in the world. The Tasman Peninsula is known for its steep sea cliffs, kelp forests, deep sponge gardens and a ships’ graveyard. And no matter where you dive you will find crayfish and abalone hiding on the rocky shoulders of a reef. The cool clean waters of Tasmania have some of the world’s most unusual sealife - spotted hand fish are unique to southern Tasmanian waters, and you have a good chance of seeing the weedy sea dragon. There is also the stargazer, and stingrays bury themselves everywhere in the sand line, while draughtboard sharks hide in the kelp. Jewel anemones cover rock walls and wrecks in a spectacular display of colour, while zoanthids thrive on the rocks. The sponge gardens are absolutely spectacular, and our local shore dives offer some of the most interesting and varied night dives around. The company is based on the Tasman Peninsula, at Taranna, about 60 minutes’ drive south of Hobart. |
