Come join with us as the world’s islands cross the cultural divide. Ten Days on the Island brings island people from around the world to Tasmania to celebrate what being an islander is all about. You have the chance to see and hear the extraordinary works of artists from such places as Iceland, Newfoundland, Shetland group, Ireland, Hawaii, East Timor, Guernsey, Manhattan, Denmark, Reunion, Tasmania and much more. They tell the stories of how island life has shaped their dance, theatre, music, opera, film, literature, and gastronomy. It’s also a chance to combine travel and culture - you can choose to see the various performers as they journey to many locations around the Island |
