Great Southern Rail also announces the introduction of an exciting new superior level of service aboard The Ghan, called Platinum Service. The inaugural Platinum Service departs Adelaide to Darwin on the 10 September 2008. Platinum Service is a luxury level on train travel, offering deluxe accommodation including double beds, spacious ensuite and 24 hour room service, in a classic style, with a distinctly Australian character. This service level is in addition to their existing Red and Gold Services.
