The Blessing of the Waters is a ceremony, which takes place at the Wallaroo Jetty, The ceremony seeks God's blessing of the waters over which our ancestors sailed. The Blessing of the Waters provides an opportunity to remember the hardship faced by many of our ancestors and to give thanks. On completion of The Blessing of the Waters is a hearty Aussie breakfast cooked barbecue style. The Blessing of the Waters and Aussie Breakfast is one of the main events of the Kernewek Lowender - Copper Coast Cornish Festival. This site is also a great spot to watch the Copper Coast Classic Cavalcade. |
